Indigenous Innovators in Tech Showcase
The BIPOC and Rural Tech Founders event series aims to help foster more access into the innovation sector by accelerating startup companies by diverse founders to advance problem-solving, social impact, create jobs and fuel the economy. Our seventh event in the series will be the Indigenous Innovators in Tech Showcase, scheduled for July 4, 2024, and is dedicated to spotlighting and empowering Indigenous talent in the innovation sector. This showcase aims to celebrate Indigenous innovators in tech, provide support for indigenous innovators, and shed light and learn more about the barriers that Indigenous innovators face.
The event will gather a select group of Indigenous innovators, offering them a platform to showcase their ventures and receive $1500 non-dilutive capital to go toward their venture. Participants will receive two specialized coaching sessions before presenting their pitches to an engaged audience. Alberta’s evolving technological landscape underscores the importance of embracing Indigenous entrepreneurship. Our event aligns with this vision, championing Indigenous perspectives and innovative solutions within Alberta’s tech ecosystem.
