Steven Pilz was born and raised in the Netherlands and now lives in Calgary, Alberta. He spent the first two decades of his career in senior management roles at leading tech firms including IBM and CGI, specializing in business development, product management, and strategic consulting for multinational clients. In 2012, Steven transitioned from corporate leadership to focus on Calgary’s tech startup ecosystem.
Since then, he has actively coached entrepreneurs and co-founded several early-stage ventures. With a strong interest in healthcare innovation, he is also a co-owner of a successful medical practice. In 2019, he became CEO of Alethea, a health technology company, where he leads business development, corporate strategy, and overall operations.
