Stace is a seasoned corporate development, M&A, and fundraising executive with 30+ years of experience guiding early-stage ventures and scaling high-potential technologies across ag-tech, healthtech, clean tech, edtech, and other emerging sectors.

He has consistently driven breakthrough go-to-market strategies and forged global strategic partnerships that secure successful deals and deliver measurable financial gains.

Stace co-founded one of Alberta’s first angel capital funds (Accolade Capital) and supported, incubated, and accelerated dozens of UCalgary portfolio companies at Innovate Calgary, where he also helped launch the UCeed family of funds.

In ag-tech, Stace has held C-suite roles at URUS Group and Alta Genetics, gaining deep expertise in livestock management, nutritional supplements, reproductive solutions, and data-driven agricultural innovations such as machine vision and wearables for dairy and beef cattle.

He has spearheaded successful philanthropic collaborations in Africa focused on renewable energy in Burkina Faso and launched a cattle genetics operation for URUS in East Africa.

In edtech, he helped Elluminate achieve a successful exit to a NASDAQ-listed acquiror (Blackboard) in 2010.

Stace has served on the boards of numerous private, public, and non-profit organizations, championing disciplined governance and transformative partnerships.
