As Associate Director of the Aerospace Innovation Hub, Mike Attersall brings over 18 years of experience spanning technology, innovation, and economic development. His career has focused on bridging industry, government, and academia to accelerate growth in emerging sectors such as tech, aerospace, defense, and clean technology. In his role, Mike provides strategic and operational leadership—advancing the Hub’s vision through program development, stakeholder engagement, and community building. He plays a key role in developing partnerships with industry leaders, startups, and educational institutions, while supporting accelerator programming and ecosystem growth initiatives.
Prior to joining the Aerospace Innovation Hub, Mike’s work in economic development helped attract major investments to Alberta, strengthening the province’s global competitiveness in technology, energy transition and advanced manufacturing. Passionate about collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Mike is dedicated to positioning Calgary as a leading center for aerospace excellence and sustainable technological advancement.
