The McCaig Institute Biomechanics Laboratory (MBL) is equipped with quantitative devices that can apply static and dynamic test loads to measure compression, torsion, tension, and bending strength to a wide range of both biological and non-biological materials. Instruments can be operated by technicians, or directly by users after training.
AT THIS FACILITY:
- Quantitative Universal Testing Machines (static & dynamic loads)
- Axial/Torsional Testing
- Tensional/Compressive Testing
- FaroArm coordinate measurement system
