His development of the Haynes Elevator’s signature drive mechanism continues to be the heart of our elevator drive line and just one of the features that has set us apart for decades. Initially designed in 1978.
The patented Haynes Counterweight is the key to offering the residential market a commercial grade drive system. Our double wrap cable drive line utilizes a unique rotating counterweight to offset the weight of the car. Its smooth and seamless motion allows the Haynes Counterweight to increase safety and extend the service life of the cable and power transmission components.

The Haynes Elevator is powered by a SEW Euro-Drive. This electric drive has proven to reduce power consumption by more than 50% over conventional hydraulic drives. Moving our customers into the future, we push the limits of environmental responsibility to the highest level by eliminating the use of hydraulics.
