A Social Innovation Hub Case Study Series | Wrap up

Social Innovation
General

Innovation isn’t confined to labs or venture-backed startups. It’s also growing in community hubs, kitchens, clinics, and boardrooms across the province. Core to the mission of the Social Innovation Hub, at Innovate Calgary, has been to support impact-oriented ventures and researchers to test and validate solutions in real-world settings and build the partnerships needed to move their work forward. In doing so, the Social Innovation Hub has helped expand who participates in innovation, what counts as innovation, and how impact is achieved.

Over the past several weeks, we shared insights through a series of real-world case studies. Together, these examples highlighted the diverse choices that non-profits can take in strengthening the sustainability of their work and broadening the reach of their impact. This series was designed to share practical lessons and lived experiences from organizations navigating similar journeys, offering insight into the different pathways non-profits are taking toward greater resilience.

This case study series was developed by Innovate Calgary, in partnership with On the Hill, and funded by the Government of Alberta.

To wrap up this series, we would like to share all the case studies:
