This month, we’re thrilled to have Mihaela Turtureanu join us for some behind-the-scenes storytelling of Immigrant Services Calgary’s new social enterprise. Immigrant Services Calgary’s Interpretation and Translation Centre aims to provide additional support in our community for newcomers so that they can feel more welcomed and thrive in their new home.

Mihaela is the Manager of Interpretation and Translation Centre, a social enterprise unit at Immigrant Services Calgary (ISC), a UCeed company, which aims to achieve social goals as a primary purpose. With a degree in commerce and international economic relations and speaking multiple languages, Mihaela represents the essence of a modern-day business.
With over 20 years experience in management, business administration, banking and in the immigrant settlement services industry, she has proven a transformative power of strategic acumen, resilience, and determination. The numerous initiatives and new strategies, helped increasing sales, redefining the standards, which lead to exceptional heights of success. Whether it involves restructuring complex business operations in the private sector, or cooperation and collaboration in the non-profit sector, Mihaela’s vision left an incredible mark on every endeavour she has undertaken.
