Calling all thinkers, doers, and dreamers! Bring your innovative ideas to this case competition. Prize money to be won!

The University of Calgary’s Sustainable Energy Development Program (SEDV) is hosting an Energy Transition Case Competition, bringing students and industry members together to discuss the multifaceted and multidisciplinary path forward. Participate in the event as an attendee or a competitor and showcase what you have to offer Alberta and Canada’s energy transition!

Competitors will be evaluated based on originality, impact, idea scalability and adaptability, the interdisciplinary nature of responses, and the overall ethical considerations. There will be over $3000 in prize money to be won!

The competition is open to all UCalgary graduate students, senior (third year and above) undergraduate students, and recent graduates (last 2 years). Only current students are eligible for scholarship prizes.

This event is hosted by the University of Calgary Sustainable Energy Development (SEDV) Student Society, in partnership with Innovate Calgary and the School of Public Policy, and is supported in part thanks to the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF). This is the last event of three in the Looking Forward series, where industry and academics come together to expand their toolkits of energy transition knowledge.
