Lynn Exton is a financial services professional built on a broad and varied career in finance, risk management and corporate governance in the developed & developing world. She is the Managing Partner of Exton & Partners Risk, Governance and Analytics, a consultancy firm focused on building technical expertise in small and medium size enterprises. Lynn was previously Opportunity International Network’s first Chief Risk Officer (2008 to 2013), where she had oversight of partner financial institutions on a global basis. She has also worked for Moody’s Investors Service, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Chase in the financial institutions area (banks and insurance companies). Lynn has extensive international living including: Brazil (10 years), Hong Kong (6 years), and London (8 years) in addition to work in +50 countries. Her positions in London and Hong Kong included regional responsibilities for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and Asia, respectively. Lynn is also a Rotarian serving in several roles including: The Rotary International’s Finance Committee, the District 5360 grants committee team lead, and as a Cadre. In the latter role, she provides technical expertise and advice to Rotarians planning and implementing grant projects around the world in line with Rotary International’s 7 Areas of Focus.
Lynn is fluent in English (native) & Portuguese and has good fluency in Spanish and French. Accordingly, Lynn brings exceptional cross-cultural and regional perspective to her roles, as well as relevant language skills. Lynn resides in Calgary, Alberta.
