Dr. Lauren Killip is a senior healthcare executive with a successful track record of medical technology commercialization and international business development. Her expertise includes strategic business planning, relationship development, and operational execution in fast-growing startup companies.
Dr. Killip has broad hands-on experience across the commercialization spectrum including working with physicians and researchers to identify the commercial potential of their research and driving corporate strategy in a startup environment to bring new technology to market.
Prior to her role at Harmonic Medical, she was the VP Corporate Strategy and Operations of Focal Healthcare, a Canadian medical startup specializing in the development of innovative imaging devices for improved diagnosis of prostate cancer. In this position, she played a leading role in acquiring $8M in funding and scaling the company from early inception to global product distribution in four years. Through this experience, Dr. Killip gained a profound understanding of the clinical and business challenges facing early-stage companies in highly regulated industries and the ability to develop and implement effective cross-functional solutions.
Dr. Killip holds a PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Calgary.
