ElevateIP AB Preparation Program
The ElevateIP AB Preparation Program matches you with an Expert Advisor (EA) who has been certified and prepared to support you in the preparation for your application to the ElevateIP Alberta program. You work on your business model canvas (BMC), cap table and growth strategy following the recommendations of the EA and, when you’re ready, Innovate Calgary signs a Letter of Support, which you will submit as part of your application.

Applicants must be available to work on their BMC, cap table and growth strategy in addition to meetings with their EA.
About the program
Submitting a Letter of Support (LOS) signed by a designated business accelerator and incubator (BAI) is one of the requirements to apply to ElevateIP Alberta.
The ElevateIP AB Preparation Program was created to help you prepare for that application and get the required LOS. This program matches you with an Expert Advisor (EA) who has been certified to support you in preparing your business model canvas (BMC), cap table and growth strategy – these are required elements to apply to ElevateIP Alberta.
An investment of $900 gives you access to 7.5 hours of support from a certified EA over a period of 3 months – we estimate that, if you are at the right stage to apply for ElevateIP Alberta, 7.5 hours is enough time to fine-tune your documentation. Moreover, during this 3 month period you will also have access to the Venture Backbone, and an opportunity to use Innovate Calgary’s open offices.

Application Process
Express your interest
Onboarding
- The program manager will follow up with you to accept/decline your enrollment, clarify any questions and either proceed with the EA matching right away or connect you with a hub community manager (if you are not yet a member)
Work with your EA
- Follow the advice of your appointed certified EA to advance your business model canvas (BMC), cap table and growth strategy
Get your LOS
- When the EA signs off on your documentation, get a LOS signed by Innovate Calgary
