With more than a decade of experience in corporate communications in the energy and utilities sector, Robin’s skillset spans across a broad range of communications strategies and tactics. Her experience involves leading communications teams and activities including strategic communication planning, change management, marketing and advertising campaigns, PR, community investment, media relations, issues communication, internal communication, employee and stakeholder engagement, writing and more.
Robin has a Bachelor of Applied Communications in Public Relations degree from Mount Royal University (MRU) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the International Association for Public Participation’s Public Participation Certificate and is an accredited Communications Management Professional (CMP) with the International Association of Business Communicators.
Robin is the principal of Heed Communications, a communications and business consultancy in Calgary. She is an adjunct professor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, where she teaches communications and presentation skills, and is a corporate facilitator at MRU.
